Hunger Inc., the team behind award-winning The Bombay Canteen, O Pedro, Veronica’s, Papa’s, and Bombay Sweet Shop has raised ~$25 Mn from Lighthouse Funds and DSG Consumer Partners

Founded by Sameer Seth, Yash Bhanage, and the late Chef Floyd Cardoz, Hunger Inc. has redefined India’s food and hospitality landscape through its portfolio of award-winning brands — The Bombay Canteen, O Pedro, Bombay Sweet Shop, Veronica’s, and Papa’s.
Over the last decade, Hunger Inc. has built a modern Indian hospitality collective rooted in storytelling, culture, and craft, with all its brands featured in the Top 50 Restaurants in India 2025. Papa’s is also mentioned in TIME’s World’s Greatest Places 2025, while The Bombay Canteen has been recognized on the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, underscoring the group’s growing global recognition.
The fundraise will primarily support the expansion of Bombay Sweet Shop while also enabling early experiments with Veronica’s, a scalable café and sandwich concept, as Hunger Inc. continues to build India’s leading modern F&B house.
